About:
Freelance illustrator/comic cartoonist , Joshua Hooper, better known as "Juicy'J", lives and breathes in Atlanta, Georgia, home to "big beats, hit streets, see gangsta's roamin', and parties don't stop til' eight in the mornin'". Growing up in the South hasn't curbed my artistic perspective in anyway. I guess my childhood inspiration has been fuelled by a healthy obsession of Image™ comic books, Japanese anime, kung-fu cult cinema, Asian grindhouse cinema, Blaxploitation films, gangster flicks, and other Samuel L. Jackson approved iconography. I have taken this inspiration with a passion for creativity, and channeled it into art and design, namely illustration. I guess my objective in life is to simply create a body of artworks that can easily be summed up as funny, humorous and freaking AWESOME! Not exactly the dream MLK had in mind, but it's pretty damn close. |
